Does AI integration artificially inflate productivity metrics?

The mathematical formulas utilized to generate these metrics are rooted in standard macroeconomic productivity equations:

Labor Productivity = Total Output Value ÷ Total Labor Hours

Output per Employee = Total Output Value ÷ Total Headcount

Hours per Employee = Total Labor Hours ÷ Total Headcount

A note on knowledge workers: Measuring productivity on a factory floor is simple (widgets built per hour). Measuring the productivity of developers, designers, or consultants is much harder. We highly recommend using Revenue (rather than arbitrary task counts) as your standard output metric to ensure you are measuring financial impact rather than busywork.
