About this calculator
This commercial cleaning calculator transitions pricing from guesswork to data-driven forecasting. It utilizes aggregate production rates to determine exact labor needs before applying financial margins.
The pricing engine is driven by these core mathematical rules:
Base Hours per Visit = Total Sq Ft ÷ Production Rate
Frequency Multiplier = 1-2x (1.0) | 3-4x (0.90) | 5-7x (0.85)
Total Monthly Hours = (Base Hours × Frequency Multiplier) × (Days per Week × 4.33 Weeks)
Total Monthly Cost = (Total Monthly Hours × Hourly Labor Rate) ÷ (1 - 0.40 Overhead Margin)
A note on custom bidding: This tool assumes average workstation density and standard hard floor-to-carpet ratios. Facilities with high-density cubicles, excessive glass partitions, or requirements for specialized floor stripping/waxing will require custom labor add-ons beyond standard production rates.
